Terms of Service

These terms cover three things: playing on our WARDOGS servers, using this website, and using our store, which sells digital goods for those servers and takes donations. They sit alongside our Rules and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

MrK Wardogs (“we”, “us”) is a community-run group. We host WARDOGS game servers in Oceania and North America and run a Discord for the people who play on them. Through this website we sell digital goods for those servers, ranks and the perks that come with them, and we take donations towards the hosting.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to BULKHEAD Interactive, the developer and publisher of WARDOGS, or with Valve Corporation, which runs Steam. WARDOGS and Steam are their owners’ trademarks. The game’s own end-user licence agreement still applies to you when you play on our servers.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By joining one of our game servers, using this website, or buying anything from our store, you agree to these terms, to our Rules, and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play on the servers or use the store.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. Changes apply from the moment they are posted here, and playing or buying after that means you accept them. If a change matters to something you are already paying for, we will say so in Discord.

3. Playing on our servers

• Access is a privilege, not a right. We let people play on our servers at our discretion. We can warn, kick, mute, restrict or ban any account, on any of our servers, at any time, with or without notice, whether or not that account holds a rank.
• The Rules are part of these terms. The Rules page sets out what gets you kicked or banned and how to appeal. Cheating, exploiting bugs, attacking the servers, and harassing other players are never acceptable.
• Your Steam account is your responsibility. Anything done on our servers from your account counts as done by you. Keep it secure.
• Servers change. A server may go down, be wiped, reconfigured, moved to a new host, renamed or shut down at any time. We run them as a hobby, not a service with a guaranteed uptime, and we do not promise any particular map, mode, player count or feature.
• Do not attack the servers, the site or the Discord. That includes denial-of-service attempts, exploiting the server or the website, scraping, credential stuffing, and automated requests beyond normal use. We report attacks to hosts and, where appropriate, to the authorities.
• In-game stats and progress live on the server and can be lost when it is wiped, updated or shut down. We do not restore them.
• The leaderboard shows in-game names with kills, deaths, cash earned and time played, counted from the servers’ player lists. It is a tally we keep, not the game’s, so it can lag or miss things, and we may reset it. Ask in Discord to be left off it; see the Privacy Policy.

4. The store: digital goods, donations and PayNow

Payments are handled by PayNow

Every purchase on this site is taken by PayNow (paynow.gg), which acts as the merchant of record: it runs the checkout, takes your payment, issues your receipt, bills subscriptions and handles any tax due. We never see your card details. When you check out you also agree to PayNow’s Terms of Use and Buyer Agreement, and PayNow handles your payment details under its Privacy Policy. Where those documents and these terms differ about a payment itself, PayNow’s apply to the payment and ours apply to the servers and the perks.

What we sell, and what a donation is

Our store sells digital goods: ranks, and the in-game and Discord perks listed on each rank’s card at the time you buy it. A rank is delivered to the Steam account you choose and applies only on our servers. It is permission to enjoy those perks on our servers while the rank is active: not a physical item, a currency or property; it cannot be traded, transferred or resold; and it has no value outside our servers.

We also take donations: the chip-in amounts on the store page. A donation is a gift towards running the servers. It buys no goods or perks unless the page says otherwise, and it is not refundable except where the law requires it.

Prices, currency and tax

Prices are set in the store currency shown on the store page (US dollars unless it says otherwise). Prices shown in another currency are estimates from published exchange rates so you can see roughly what you will pay; the amount PayNow charges, and any conversion or fee your bank applies, is what you actually pay. Any tax due is shown by PayNow at checkout.

Monthly ranks

A rank bought monthly is a subscription. PayNow charges you when you buy it and again each month until you cancel, and the rank stays active while those payments succeed. Cancel any time through PayNow: the link is in your receipt email. Cancelling stops future charges; the rank runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, and that month is not refunded. If a renewal payment fails, the rank is removed when the paid period ends.

One-time purchases and donations

Where a rank is offered as a one-time purchase, it lasts for the period stated on its card or, if no period is stated, until we retire it. Donations are one-time gifts of the amount you choose.

Gifts

You can buy a rank for another Steam account. Check the account carefully before you pay: we deliver to the account you chose, and a gift sent to the wrong account usually cannot be moved. A gift to an account that is banned from our servers does not lift the ban and is not refunded. The person you gift to is bound by these terms and the Rules like anyone else.

Delivery

In-game perks are applied automatically by our servers shortly after PayNow confirms the payment. You may need to reconnect to the server to see them. Discord perks, such as roles and name colours, are applied by our staff once you have joined the Discord. If something has not arrived within 24 hours, tell us in Discord and include the order number from your PayNow receipt.

Limited ranks and queue priority

Some ranks are limited to a set number of holders per server, and we may stop selling one when it is full. Queue priority means you are placed ahead of others in the queue when a slot allows; it is not a guarantee of a seat at every moment, and it depends on the number of reserved slots the server has.

Refunds

Because digital goods are delivered straight away, purchases are generally final, and donations are gifts. We will refund you where a perk was not delivered and we cannot fix it, where you were charged twice for the same thing, or where the law requires it. Being banned for breaking the Rules does not earn a refund, and neither does cancelling part-way through a period. Ask us in Discord first and we will sort it out; how a refund is processed is covered by PayNow’s Buyer Agreement.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card provider instead of talking to us, the perks it paid for are removed from the account straight away, and the account may be banned from our servers until the dispute is resolved.

Changes to ranks and perks

We may change, rename, reprice or retire a rank or a perk. If we retire a rank you are subscribed to, we will stop billing you and honour the period you have already paid for. If we close the servers for good, we will cancel every subscription and refund whatever part of the current period you did not get.

Age and permission

You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to buy anything from the store, and you must only use a payment method you are allowed to use.

5. Discord

Our Discord is run under Discord’s own terms and guidelines, and our Rules apply there too. Roles and other Discord perks are part of a rank and end when the rank does.

6. Clips and screenshots you send us

If you send us a clip, screenshot or photo for the media page, you keep ownership of it and give us permission to show it on this site and in our Discord and social channels, with credit where you ask for it. Only send us things you made or have the right to share. If you want something of yours taken down, tell us in Discord and we will remove it.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The servers, this website and the perks are provided as they are and as they are available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for downtime, lost progress or data, a rank being unavailable while a server is down, or any loss or damage arising from playing on the servers or using the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement. Where that law gives you a remedy, such as a refund for something that was not delivered, you keep it.

8. Changes to these terms

We will post any change to these terms on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep playing on the servers or buying from the store after a change, you accept it.

9. Contact and disputes

Talk to us first: almost everything gets sorted out with a message in our Discord. Questions about a payment, a receipt or a subscription can also go to PayNow through the links in your receipt email.
